When we look at the blue of the sky, we sometimes feel as if we are drowning, as Nietzsche put it. We get lost in this sea of inner conflicts and mental waves. We sometimes feel drowned, as Woolf puts it, under the influence of dark thoughts. But these contradictions serve as a path to inner growth and the search for meaning. This sea within us is part of our spiritual journey and we must continue to search for meaning in its depths, even when we feel we are drowning under the waters.
